And so it begins.....

I am new to the whole blog concept so please be patient at my lack of skill and technical abilities. I am not sure if there is a purpose as such behind this blog or whether it more of an organisational tool for my erratic brain functions. lol.

Yesterday was a gentle day, we are slowly getting back in to the swing of things. Most of the day was spent at a local HE meet in Faversham.
A good time was had by all as the children have full use of all the facilities at the youth club. Munch's favourite room is usually the craft room but yesterday she spent most of her time in the music room, much to my surprise. We have always tried to interest the girls in music and learning an instrument probably largely due to mine and CJ's distinct lack of musical ability. However, despite the free access to a number of instruments at home and the youth club yesterday was the first time munch had really shown an interest and put on a little show with her friend A.
When we got back I printed off a work sheet i had on measuring which asked her to measure a number of everyday household objects, including her bed, sofa, trainers etc.
Today we are of to our second instalment of Forest school run by the lovely people at Kent Wildlife Trust in Canterbury. LAst week amongst other things Munch learnt to build and start an upside fire using vaseline, cotton wool and a fire steel. It was so lovely to see her face light up as she finally got her fire to light after struggling with the technique in the begining.
